Mitchell Smolkin is a certified emotionally-focused couples therapist, a registered psychotherapist, a published author and an experienced public speaker. As a trusted authority on relationships, trauma, parenting and emotional transitions, Mitchell has spent his career helping people deal with life’s various challenges through international practice.
Keeping offices in both Toronto, Canada and Stockholm, Sweden, Mitchell is passionate about counselling clients and training therapists through both in-person and virtual sessions. He has published works in the area of intergenerational trauma, specifically focusing on the ways in which we process grief, pain, and loss. In addition to his professional practice, Mitchell has lectured at conferences internationally, is currently the host of “The Dignity of Suffering Podcast”, and has appeared in both print and broadcast media. He is currently penning a number of books on romantic relationships and parenting.
